2. Automated Legal Publishing Safe-Harbor — No Practice of Law (Anti-UPL)

Writs provides automated retrieval, indexing, and synthesis of publicly enacted U.S. federal and state statutes, regulations (Code of Federal Regulations), judicial opinions (SCOTUS, U.S. Courts of Appeals, federal district courts, and state courts), and administrative agency guidance (DOL, EEOC, NLRB, OSHA, USCIS).

  • No Legal Advice: All outputs generated by Writs constitute general statutory and case-law research information only and do NOT constitute legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation under any jurisdiction's Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) statutes, including Cal. • No Attorney-Client Relationship or Privilege: Accessing or using Writs, submitting queries, or uploading documents does NOT create an attorney-client relationship, fiduciary duty, or attorney-client privilege / work-product protection between you and GO SAS.

3. AI Hallucination & Citation Verification Assumption of Risk

Writs utilizes large language models and automated retrieval pipelines that are probabilistic in nature and may generate incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate syntheses (“AI hallucinations”). You expressly assume all risk associated with your use of any output generated by Writs.

Mandatory Verification Duty: You contractually agree to independently verify every citation to the United States Code (U.S.C.), Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.), Federal Reporter (F.2d / F.3d / F.4th), Supreme Court Reporter, and state statutory or regulatory codes against official government publications (uscode.house.gov, ecfr.gov, federalregister.gov, official court dockets) and to consult a Licensed State Bar Counsel admitted in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction before making any human resources, disciplinary, termination, FLSA exempt/non-exempt classification, PAGA remediation, WARN Act notice, or payroll decision.

4. 100% American AI & US-East Sovereign Infrastructure

Writs processes all queries, embeddings, optical character recognition (OCR), and vector retrieval exclusively through a 100% American AI and cloud infrastructure stack hosted in the United States (US-East / Washington, D.C. iad1, Ohio, and Virginia us-east-1 regions, including OpenAI US API endpoints, Pinecone US-East AWS us-east-1, Vercel US-East iad1, and Render Ohio us-east).

5. User Representations & Clickwrap Evidentiary Registry

You represent and warrant that you are accessing Writs in a professional capacity (as an employer, HR professional, compliance officer, in-house counsel, or licensed attorney) and that you will not rely on Writs as a substitute for qualified legal counsel licensed in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction. Your electronic acceptance via our clickwrap interface is logged with your email address, IP address, User-Agent, and UTC timestamp as binding evidentiary proof under the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) and UETA.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties (“AS IS” & “AS AVAILABLE”)

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WRITS PLATFORM AND ALL RESEARCH OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENCY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. GO SAS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT STATUTORY THRESHOLDS, INFLATION-ADJUSTED PENALTY TABLES, OR CASE-LAW CITATIONS ARE ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability & Strict $100 Aggregate Cap

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GO SAS (SIREN 934 557 455), ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY BACK PAY, FRONT PAY, LIQUIDATED DAMAGES, STATUTORY PENALTIES, PAGA PENALTIES, ADMINISTRATIVE FINES (DOL, EEOC, OSHA, NLRB, ICE/USCIS), OR ATTORNEY'S FEES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON WRITS.

MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY CAP: IN ALL EVENTS, GO SAS'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO GO SAS IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00 USD).

8. Mandatory Binding Individual Arbitration, Mass Arbitration Batching Protocol, 30-Day Opt-Out & Class/Jury Waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

  • Mandatory Pre-Arbitration Informal Dispute Resolution (60-Day Notice): Before initiating any arbitration, the claiming party must send a signed written Notice of Dispute to legal@usewrits.com describing the claim and requested relief, followed by an individualized telephonic or videoconference settlement conference within sixty (60) days. Compliance with this informal process is an express condition precedent to filing any arbitration demand.
  • Mandatory Binding Individual Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Writs Platform, or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules (or JAMS if AAA is unavailable), conducted in English via videoconference or in Wilmington, Delaware, pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.).
  • CLASS ACTION & REPRESENTATIVE ACTION WAIVER: YOU AND GO SAS AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, MASS, PAGA REPRESENTATIVE, OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL PROCEEDING.
  • Mass Arbitration Bellwether Batching Protocol (Batches of 20 Claims): To prevent abusive or predatory mass arbitration filings, if twenty-five (25) or more similar arbitration demands are asserted against GO SAS by or with the assistance of the same law firm, group of firms, or coordinated organization within a 180-day period, the claims shall be administered in sequential Bellwether Batches of no more than twenty (20) individual claims at a time (10 selected by claimants' counsel and 10 selected by GO SAS). No filing, administrative, or arbitrator fees shall be assessed or due for unbatched claims until they are selected into an active batch, and applicable statutes of limitations shall be tolled for staged claims following a mandatory mediation after the first batch.
  • 30-Day Right to Opt Out of Arbitration: You may opt out of this Arbitration Agreement within thirty (30) calendar days of first accepting these Terms by sending a personally signed written notice to legal@usewrits.com stating your full name, registered account email address, and an explicit statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the Class Action Waiver, Jury Trial Waiver, $100 Liability Cap, or Governing Law provisions.
  • JURY TRIAL WAIVER: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION AND APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND GO SAS HEREBY IRREVOCABLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY ACTION, PROCEEDING, OR COUNTERCLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM.

9. Delaware Governing Law & One (1) Year Statute of Limitations

Except to the extent governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.), these Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to Writs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. For any judicial proceeding permitted outside arbitration (such as confirming an award or if arbitration is validly opted out of), exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall lie in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

CONTRACTUAL ONE (1) YEAR STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS: REGARDLESS OF ANY STATUTE OR LAW TO THE CONTRARY, ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO USE OF WRITS OR THESE TERMS MUST BE FILED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER SUCH CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION AROSE, OR BE PERMANENTLY BARRED.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GO SAS (SIREN 934 557 455) and its officers, directors, and affiliates from and against any and all third-party claims, employee claims, regulatory investigations, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your employment decisions, workplace policies, or use of the Platform.
