Last Updated: October 25, 2026 · Version: 2026-10-25-US-v2 · Operator: GO SAS (SIREN 934 557 455) · Domains: writs.ai / usewrits.com

1. Nature of the Service — Automated Legal Publishing & Research Engine

Writs is an electronic legal publishing, statutory indexing, and case-law intelligence platform operated exclusively by GO SAS (SIREN 934 557 455). Writs synthesizes publicly available federal and 50-state labor and employment statutes, regulations (eCFR), judicial opinions (CourtListener / Free Law Project), and administrative agency publications (DOL, EEOC, NLRB, OSHA, USCIS).

Under settled First Amendment and state unauthorized-practice-of-law (UPL) safe-harbor principles for legal publishers (see, e.g., New York County Lawyers' Ass'n v. Dacey, 21 N.Y.2d 694; Tex. Gov't Code § 81.101(c)), Writs provides objective statutory and case-law information and compliance checkpoints. Writs does not apply the law to provide personalized legal counsel or legal representation.

2. 50-State Unauthorized Practice of Law (Anti-UPL) Notice

GO SAS is not a law firm, is not registered as a professional law corporation in any U.S. state, and does not employ attorneys to advise Platform subscribers. Nothing on writs.ai or usewrits.com constitutes the practice of law within the meaning of any state statute or bar rule, including without limitation:

  • California: California Business and Professions Code § 6125 (State Bar Act).
  • New York: New York Judiciary Law §§ 478 & 484.
  • Texas: Texas Government Code §§ 81.101–81.102 (Explicitly excluding electronic legal publications that clearly state they are not a substitute for the advice of an attorney).
  • Florida: Florida Statutes § 454.23.
  • Illinois: Illinois Attorney Act, 705 ILCS 205/1.
  • All Other U.S. Jurisdictions: Equivalent statutes and Supreme Court rules across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

3. Zero Attorney-Client Relationship & Zero Privilege

Your use of Writs does not create an attorney-client relationship. Communications, prompts, and documents uploaded to Writs are not protected by the attorney-client privilege or the attorney work-product doctrine unless you are a licensed attorney using Writs as a confidential research tool on behalf of your own client in accordance with applicable rules of professional conduct (e.g., ABA Model Rules 1.1, 1.6, and 5.3).

4. AI Hallucination Assumption of Risk & Mandatory Verification by Licensed Counsel

Federal and state workplace laws change rapidly through judicial vacaturs (e.g., FLSA salary thresholds, FTC non-compete rulemaking), legislative reforms (e.g., California PAGA 2024 reform AB 2288 / SB 92), and annual Federal Register civil monetary penalty inflation adjustments. Large language models can misstate statutory thresholds, effective dates, or circuit holdings.

Mandatory Verification by Licensed State Bar Counsel: You must independently verify every U.S.C., C.F.R., F.3d/F.4th, and state statutory citation against official government portals (ecfr.gov, uscode.house.gov, courtlistener.com, or state legislative databases) and consult a Licensed State Bar Counsel admitted in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction before taking any HR, disciplinary, termination, FLSA classification, or payroll action.

5. Post-LLM Anti-UPL Filtering & Per-Page Document Watermarking

Every response generated by Writs passes through an automated post-LLM Anti-UPL sanitizer to ensure objective statutory framing, and every exported PDF or Word (.docx) document embeds a permanent per-page header, diagonal watermark, and footer certifying that the document is for informational research purposes only and is subject to the $100 Liability Cap and Binding Individual Arbitration provisions at writs.ai/terms.
